A contemporary interpretation of Andalusian architecture, where heritage is translated into space rather than ornament. The project is shaped around a grand double-height entrance court, while the façade reinterprets the traditional Mashrabiya through a composition of layered square modules, creating depth, rhythm, and a timeless architectural identity.
Entrance Court
The entrance court is conceived as the heart of the arrival experience, inspired by the spatial qualities of traditional Andalusian courtyards. Designed as a generous double-height volume, it creates a strong visual connection between levels while enhancing the sense of openness and natural light. The surrounding surfaces are articulated through a composition of layered square modules, abstracted from the traditional Mashrabiya. Rather than replicating the original pattern, these elements reinterpret its geometric rhythm in a contemporary way, adding depth, texture, and a dynamic play of light and shadow that defines the identity of the entrance space.

The project's visual identity was extended through a custom-designed pattern that reflects the spirit of the concept. This pattern was carried across the staff uniforms and coffee service, creating a warm and welcoming arrival experience while maintaining a consistent brand identity throughout every touchpoint.
A custom wallpaper was used in a modern way, transforming traditional patterns into a refined design feature that enriches the space without overwhelming it.
Arabic typography was carefully selected to preserve the project's Andalusian identity, reinforcing its cultural roots while complementing the contemporary design language.
Inspired by the handcrafted brass tabletops of historic Andalusian cafés, hammered brass was integrated into the counter design to celebrate traditional craftsmanship through a refined contemporary interpretation.
The guest experience extends beyond architecture through scent. Incense was thoughtfully incorporated as a welcoming element, inspired by the hospitality traditions that shaped Andalusian culture, adding warmth, familiarity, and a memorable sensory layer to the space.
An intimate Andalusian-inspired coffee corner was created beneath the staircase, transforming an unused space into a warm and inviting seating experience.
