Khan International Restaurant
Khan International is a contemporary restaurant located in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, inspired by the rich cultural identity of the Eastern Province and its coastal heritage.
The architectural concept reinterprets the cultural, architectural, and visual language of the Eastern Coast through a contemporary restaurant experience. The façade is defined by a distinctive terracotta brick screen, featuring a pattern derived from local cultural elements and transformed into a three-dimensional architectural expression.
Warm sandy tones, terracotta brick, arched openings, and integrated greenery establish a strong connection between the region’s traditional character and the restaurant’s contemporary identity. The layered brick façade creates depth and texture, while its geometric pattern produces a dynamic interplay of light and shadow throughout the day.
The interior and exterior experience are conceived as a seamless extension of the architectural concept, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that reflects the character of Al Khobar while maintaining a refined contemporary aesthetic.
Khan International is envisioned as a modern interpretation of the Eastern Province’s coastal identity — rooted in local culture, expressed through contemporary architecture, and shaped around a distinctive dining experience.
