Rooted in the landscape of Qatif, THE WĀHA reimagines the traditional oasis as a contemporary urban experience. Rather than simply placing architecture on the land, the project allows the landscape to become its heart — weaving together shaded courtyards, lush gardens, water, movement, and moments of gathering.
Architecture frames this living landscape, creating a sequence of spaces that shift between openness and intimacy, movement and pause, commerce and community.

THE WĀHA — GROUND FLOOR CONCEPT
A Living Oasis at the Heart of Qatif
The ground floor is conceived as a contemporary urban oasis, where architecture dissolves into landscape and the public realm becomes the heart of the experience. Retail, cafés, restaurants, and everyday amenities are arranged around a continuous pedestrian landscape, creating an active yet relaxed environment for movement, gathering, and discovery.

At the center
two circular water courts form the social anchors of the WĀHA. Surrounded by organic planting, shaded seating, and flowing pedestrian paths, they transform the circulation spine into a sequence of places to pause, meet, dine, and connect.
The result is not simply a retail destination, but a contemporary interpretation of the Qatifi oasis — where water, landscape, architecture, and community come together as one continuous experience.
